Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a masterpiece of open-world adventure that will keep you hooked for hours. It is the sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and improves on almost every aspect of its predecessor. You can explore a vast areas, full of secrets, surprises, and challenges. Not only is there the main Hyrule land, but there is a complete underground map as well as some sky island locations. You can also fly across the sky, using your new glider ability, and discover new islands and regions. The game offers a rich and immersive story, with memorable characters, stunning graphics, and a captivating soundtrack. You will feel like you are part of a living world, where every action has consequences and every choice matters. The strange thing about the above paragraph, is that this was all possible on an almost 7 year old platform that is significantly under powered compared to the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.
The game introduces some new gameplay mechanics that add variety and depth to your adventure. You can use your Sheikah Slate to manipulate objects, solve puzzles, and create gadgets. You can also use your runes to enhance your abilities, such as summoning a horse or a paraglider. The game also features more side quests and activities than ever before, such as fishing, cooking, gardening, mining, crafting, and more.
The side quests and openness of the game is what makes it special. I found myself on several occasions doing the following. Lets go complete this main story mission, travel to location and on the way, "what's that thing over there, lets have a look", some time later; "now I better go to that main story quest now... wait.. what's that over there".
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is probably my best game of all time.
